Frequently Asked Questions
What type of materials do you use?
All paintings use archival-quality materials and are done in acrylic paint on primed, stretched canvas. Each completed painting is coated with a special UV-resistant varnish that protects the finish with a rich lustre. The canvas is gallery-wrapped, which means the canvas is wrapped around the edges of the stretcher bars (which are .75" to 1.5" deep) and painted, giving you the option not to frame the painting.
Can you frame my painting?
All paintings can be framed for an additional charge, based on the size of the paintings. I can quote you a cost if you would like for me to frame it.
Can you combine multiple photos of different pets into one painting?
Yes – However, it is important that the photos appear to be taken from a similar perspective with the lighting coming from the same direction. If you aren't sure if photos you have will work, please feel free to send them to me for a review.
How long does a painting take?
I generally like to allow a minimum of 2 weeks per painting for proper drying time and varnishing – up to 3 weeks if it's being framed. Our current order queue will determine how quickly I can get to your order.
Are you able to do a rush order and delivery?
I can, but it depends on how busy I am. During gift giving seasons, orders increase substantially and additional weeks are required to complete an order. Rush orders are subject to a rush fee in the amount of 15% of the total.
